Skydiving in Autumn

If you’re looking to experience thrills in the sky, you’re probably trying to figure out what time of the year is best to skydive. While some people prefer summertime, others like the winter or springtime. But those who love skydiving during the fall season will tell you that October is the best time to fall from the sky—and for a number of reasons:

1. Less crowded
Compared to the hot summer months, October is a less busy month for seasoned skydivers and first-time jumpers to skydive. The relaxed pace means you can get into the sky faster!

2. Perfect weather
During the month of October, the air tends to be crisp and the skies clear blue. With cooler temperatures, you won’t have to worry about scorching heat or frigid air. The wind is also usually calm and cooperative, making skydiving in October a perfect time for a canopy ride and a free fall. Even if Mother Nature decides to bring in gusty winds or rain on your skydiving plans, you can always reschedule for another fine day.

3. It’s all about the views
The magical scenery of the landscape in the fall, as seen from the Louisiana drop zone, and the breathtaking views of yellow, orange and brown foliage will make your skydiving experience something to really talk about.

4. Specials and discounts
At Gold Coast Skydivers, we do our best to make your experience memorable all year round. Best of all, we are here seven days a week to answer your questions and offer jumps on Saturdays and Sundays during October and offer discounts for people in law enforcement or the military, students, seniors, and those celebrating their birthday. Groups of five or more can also enjoy specially priced packages.
